Linda Sylvia Baker, of Cutchogue, died on September 5, 2014. She was 55 years old.
She was born in Oceanside, NY on April 8, 1959 to Louis Alfred and Concettina Norma (nee Gigliotti) Sylvia. Raised in Montauk, she was a graduate of Easthampton High School-Class of 1978.
In earlier years, she worked for the Viking Fleet in Montauk and more recently was a homemaker and artist of pencil drawings depicting nature scenes.
She loved the water and enjoyed boating, traveling, NASCAR (Jeff Gordon) and the Pocono Raceway and was fond of cats.
Cooking, which she excelled at, was important to her recalled family members.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband Paul W. Baker whom she married in 1993; two sons Eric and Paul III; two sisters, Louann Sylvia and Maria Sylvia; a half-sister Dorothy Schlegel and a half-brother James Sylvia. She was predeceased by a brother Louis Sylvia, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold.
