Zeldin vs. Bishop: Debate set for Wednesday, Oct. 8 in Riverhead

SoutholdLOCAL and RiverheadLOCAL will host a debate between First Congressional District candidates Tim Bishop (D-Southampton) and Lee Zeldin (R-Shirley) on Wednesday, Oct. 8 beginning at 7 p.m. at Riverhead Polish Hall.

The debate is open to the public and admission is free.

Questions will be posed by Denise Civiletti, co-publisher of the two local news websites. The moderator seeks the public’s input for topics and questions. Please send in your suggestions by clicking here. Questions will not be taken from the audience at the debate.

This is the second debate of the election season hosted by the community news websites. Assembly candidates Anthony Palumbo and Tom Schiliro debated issues ranging from Common Core to abortion rights in the first LOCAL debate, held Sept. 29.
