A Riverhead man was busted on Halloween after he drove drunk and was involved in a minor accident on Route 48 in Peconic, police said.
According to Southold Town police, John Cardinale, 69, was arrested at 4:16 p.m. on Mill Lane and Route 48 in Peconic after the minor crash. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, taken to Southold Town police headquarters, processed, and held pending arraignment, police said.
