Cops: Man busted for crossing double yellow line while drunk

A Jamesport man was cuffed on Thursday after police said he crossed the double yellow line while driving drunk in Mattituck.

Police said Porfirio Martinez, 30, was arrested at 1:20 p.m. on Route 25 and Elijahs Lane after driving eastbound and failing to maintain his lane. Further investigation revealed him to be intoxicated, police said. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and crossing over the double yellow line, police said.

Martinez was  transported to Southold police headquarters where he was processed and held overnight until his arraignment.
