A man was taken to the hospital for observation after his car ran off the road and hit a tree in Southold on Monday, police said.
The accident took place when the driver, who was heading north on Main Bayview, veered off the road and into a tree at the intersection near Jacobs Lane at approximately 2:30 p.m., officials said.
The driver sustained non-serious injuries, officials at the scene said.
Southold Fire Department and ambulance responded to the scene.
