Two North Fork residents were busted in an East End DWI Task Force sweep Wednesday night in Riverhead, police said.
Allen P. Brown, 23, of Greenport, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation, police said.
Mynor Depaz-Javier, 20, of Cutchogue, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and aggravated unlicensed operation, authorities added.
The East End DWI Task Force special patrols and sobriety checkpoints conducted in Riverhead resulted in five DWI and drug arrests in total, Riverhead Police announced in a press release.
Police also reported the following arrests:
Marlon Chacon-Salgado, 33, of Riverhead, was charged with driving while intoxicated.
Denzel Faines, 23, of Riverhead, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Larry C. Willis, 22, of Calverton, was charged with driving while intoxicated.
Further East End DWI Task Force details will take place throughout the holiday season, police said.
“The Riverhead Police Department reminds motorists to use designated drivers, buckle up, use hands-free cell phones be safe drivers as they enjoy the East End,” police said in the press release.
