Bearing toys and gifts, a crowd turned out Sunday morning for the Cutchogue Fire Department’s third annual “Stuff the Sleigh” 5K race and walk.
The race kicked off at 10 a.m. outside the fire department; a children’s fun run was also included in the festivities.
In addition to the entry fee runners were asked to bring a new unwrapped toy that will be donated to Community Action of Southold Town, to make children’s wishes come true this holiday season. Entrants to the children’s fun run were requested to bring two items of non-perishable food
Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Cutchogue Fire Department Scholarship Fund, the Firefighters Cancer Support Network and the American Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
