Carol Marie Lessard of Crimora, Virginia, formerly of Mattituck, died at her home on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014. She was 76 years old.
Born in New Jersey on Aug. 13, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Helen (Pawloski) Drevas and Ervin Blonkowski.
She married Eugene Peter Lessard on Oct. 14, 1956.
She retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of St. John’s R.C. Church in Waynesboro, Virginia.
In addition to her husband of 58 years, she is survived by her daughter, Rita M. Alexander and her husband Eugene, of Port Republic, Virginia; her daughter Bernadette C. Cox, of Stuarts Draft, Virginia; her son Gregory L. Lessard and his wife Mary, of Grottoes, Virginia; six grandchildren, Theresa Bolyard, Lisa Fink, Caitlin Gibson, Rebecca Toth, John Wooten and Anthony Berg; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Sean Michael Cox.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at Johnson Funeral Service in Grottoes, Virginia. Burial will follow at Port Republic Mutual Cemetery.
