Maria Taldone of Riverhead died at her home on Dec. 25, 2014. She was 96 years old.
Born in Brooklyn on Aug. 27, 1918, she was the daughter of Frank and Catherine Buonadonna.
She married Felice Taldone and was a homemaker and the mother of nine children. She loved her family, enjoyed homemaking and knitting, her family said.
Predeceased by her husband in 1995 and by three sons, Lawrence, Thomas and Anthony, she is survived by her children: Joseph of Florida, Felice of Florida, Frank of Schenectady, N.Y., Maria of Georgia, Catherine of Shoreham and Vincent of Riverhead. She is also survived by a sister, Elisa Dicapua of Florida, by 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, Dec. 28 from 2 to 6 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home, 336 Marcy Avenue, Riverhead. A funeral service and interment will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 29 at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale.
