David H. Milligan of Riverhead died at his home Dec. 26 after a long illness. He was 66 years old.
Born in Greenport on Dec. 6, 1948, he was the son of Arthur and Caroline (Kenney) Milligan.
He married Cindy Harris on May 9, 2001 and worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Riverhead.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sisters, Vivian Adams of Bossier, Louisiana, Joan Haught of Valparaiso, Florida, and Caroline McCartin of Calverton, and Janine Benedict of East Moriches, and his brothers, Ross of Aquebogue, Robert of Harpurville, New York, and W. Thomas of Irving, Texas.
The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at McLaughlin-Heppner Funeral Home, 336 Marcy Avenue, Riverhead. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Isidore’s Cemetery.
