A man was busted after he was caught driving the wrong way on Route 25 while intoxicated on Monday, police said.
According to Southold Town police, Jevemai Hernandez-Lune, 34, of East Marion, was arrested at 11 p.m. on Route 25 outside of Brecknock Hall after he was seen heading north on Main Street in Greenport in the southbound lane.
Police said he had a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, blood-shot glassy eyes, slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet.”
He failed a pre-screen breath test, was arrested, charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and was taken to police headquarters, where he was held for morning arraignment.
