With the busy months coming soon, Community Action of Southold Town will host a Supermarket Food Drive tomorrow at three locations on the North Fork.
Carrying on its theme of “neighbors helping neighbors,” CAST will be accepting donations from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. outside the IGA in Greenport, IGA in Southold, and Waldbaums in Mattituck.
The donations will help to fill the cupboards at CAST’s food pantry after the long winter. Over the winter months, 329 local families turned to the food pantry for help, CAST reports.
Donations of non-perishable food items or gift cards can also be made at the CAST office at 311 Front Street during business hours daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or in the bins at King Kullen and Southold IGA.
