Southold Town is poised to host its fourth annual youth job fair this weekend, at the same time as a community service forum.
The fair, which is focused on high school students and graduates as well as college students and graduates, will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon at the Southold Recreation Center on Peconic Lane in Peconic.
Employers will be seeking employees for year-round, part-time and seasonal help. Last year over 15 employers provided over 50 employment opportunities for those in attendance, town officials said.
Former businesses involved included Riverhead Building Supply, Hampton Jitney, Harbes Farm, North Fork Country Club, IGA, Magic Fountain, Peconic Landing, Sea Tow International, Port of Egypt, and the Southold Recreation Center .
At the same time, residents are encouraged to attend the Southold Community Service Forum, to meet with local organizations that are actively recruiting volunteers.
The community service forum takes place Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon at the Peconic Lane Community Center, also in Peconic.
