New Greenport Trustees Doug Roberts and Jack Martilotta are looking to get right down to business, scheduling a beach cleanup for the coming weekend.
The beach cleanup will take place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the 5th Street beach in Greenport. Those attending are asked to bring rubber gloves.
In recent weeks, Roberts has said he hopes to clean up debris and dog poop from the beach; some have said signs are clearly posted that no dogs are allowed on the beach and enforcement is important.
