A three car accident on Route 25 outside Peconic Landing in Greenport left one woman injured, police at the scene said.
According to Southold Town police, the accident occurred at approximately 1:45 p.m. when one car attempted to pass another, sideswiping the vehicle, and crossed over the double yellow line, hitting the third vehicle.
One woman was sent to Eastern Long Island Hospital with a neck injury, police said.
Greenport Fire Department Rescue responded to the scene.
Route 48 was closed in both directions during the accident investigation.
