Cops: Southold man charged with felony DWI after crash

A Southold man is facing a felony driving while intoxicated charge after he crashed his vehicle in a single car accident in Mattituck.

According to Southold Town police, Benjamin Oliver, 26, was arrested at 2:25 a.m. this morning at the intersection of New Suffolk Avenue and Locust Avenue after the accident.

Mattituck Fire Department responded to the scene and transported Oliver to Eastern Long Island Hospital for treatment of his injuries, police said. He was found to be intoxicated, charged with DWI, a felony, and held for arraignment, police said.
