Albie de Kerillis, who received the Democratic nomination this week to run for Southold Town council in the upcoming election, sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being involved in an accident at the intersection of Youngs Avenue and Route 48 in Southold today.
According to de Kerillis, the accident took place at approximately 1 p.m., and involved two single car drivers. Both sustained non-life threatening injuries, he said. He said he would be “very, very sore” but was thankful to have no broken bones and was grateful that there were no serious injuries. He added that he wanted to thank the Southold Fire Department and Southold Police for their immediate response.
“We are once again blessed to live in a town with such a great fire department and police department,” he said.
No further details were immediately available.
