A car accident on Route 48, just east of Peconic Lane in Peconic, sent two to the hospital with minor injuries this afternoon, police said.
According to police on the scene, one driver was driving east on Route 48 at approximately 3:15 p.m. when another driver attempted to make a left turn, failing to yield the right of way.
Southold Fire Department rescue were on the scene and transported both drivers to Eastern Long Island Hospital, police said.
