It was Sea Tow to the rescue last night as a boat took on water in Cutchogue.
Southold Town Police said a call came in at 8:12 p.m. about a marine incident taking place on the Long Island Sound, off Duck Pond Point in Cutchogue.
The five men onboard, Roque Quintanilla, 34, of Centereach, and Erick Hernandez, 21, Rudy Hernandez, 22, Celig Orteg, 35, and Osmond Hernandez, all of Port Jefferson, were in a vessel that was taking on water approximately three quarters of a mile off of Duck Pond Point.
Upon arrival, the Southold bay constable and police found that Sea Tow had the vessel in tow and the men aboard. The men were taken aboard the police vessel and brought to the Mattituck Inlet boat ramp. No one was injured and no one required medical attention, police said. Sea Tow brought the vessel to the boat ramp and the owner loaded it onto his trailer, police said.
