An elderly man lost control of his car while heading east on Route 48, just east of Cox Lane in Cutchogue, and crashed into a shuttered farm stand today, police said.
The accident took place at approximately 12:45 p.m. and involved only the single driver, Southold Town Police said.
Cutchogue Fire Department rescue was called to the scene to check on the man but no major injuries were reported, police said.
