Blue, sunny skies greeted the crowd that turned out today for the Greenport PTA Craft Fair, held outside the school.
The event was filled with music, vendors, food and fun, as supporters came together for an event that’s always a favorite and helps raise funds for the children.
Kim Moore, new Greenport Elementary School PTA president, is excited about the upcoming school year, including a Halloween parade.
The event is ongoing this afternoon.
Moore’s enthusiastic about taking over the reins. “We are a small town that is capable of great things. I know, because I’ve seen firsthand what Greenport can do. If parents can just give us a little time and effort, we can provide our kids with some fun and cool activities and events to reward them for their hard work. Our kids today are under so much pressure to perform, we sometimes forget that they are kids and that they need to have fun, too,” she said.
Parents and community members are encouraged to email greenportpta@gmail.com for membership forms, or with any ideas or questions for the PTA.
