The smell of fragrant barbecue hung heavy in the air on Main Road last night as hundreds brought their families and joined friends for the Southold Fire Department’s Steak Night fundraiser.
Guests seated both indoors and outside enjoyed steak, baked potatoes, salad, corn, rolls and dessert, as young and old alike took part in the festivities and volunteers manned the grill.
One family even celebrated the 93rd birthday of Eddie Holobigian; the Southold Fire Department gave him a note, wishing him a Happy Birthday.
Southold Fire Department’s Steak Night events are held twice yearly and the tickets are snapped up quickly as guests turn out in force in an outpouring of community spirit.
