The Greenport Business Improvement District will host the 4th Annual Greenport Shellabration this weekend — a weekend of eating, drinking and shopping local, all in support of the local marine environment.

Proceeds from the sale of wristbands — which entitle wearers to special deals at participating restaurants and merchants — support Cornell Cooperative Extension’s marine programs, the Back to the Bays Initiative and the community shellfish restoration efforts of the SPAT Program.

The BID recommends visitors reserve Shellabration wristbands in advance, because a limited number is available.

Wristbands cost $20 for general admission and $50 VIP. The VIP wristband includes a special gift bag featuring a Shellabration wine glass, a one-year subscription to Edible East End and other goodies. Pre-purchased wristbands (and day-of sales based on first-come, first-served availability) will be available for pick up during Shellabration weekend beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Greenport Harbor Brewing Co.’s location on Carpenter Street, or at Little Creek Oysters down Bootleg Alley off Front Street.
