A Patchogue man was driving drunk when he crashed his car on Route 25 in in Orient Thursday evening, according to Southold Town Police.
Police said William South, 52, was involved in a single-vehicle crash in front of 41270 Route 25 in Orient Thursday at about 6:30 p.m.
An investigation revealed South was driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, according to a press release issued by police early Saturday morning.
South was arrested, processed and held for arraignment, police said.
