Richard W. Lash of Jamesport died at Peconic Bay Medical Center on December 27, 2015. He was 60 years old.
Lash was born in Bay Shore on November 5, 1955 to Richard M. and Caroline (nee Chapin) Lash.
Following graduation from West Islip High School and New York State Maritime College, he worked as a tug boat captain for various employers for seventeen years. He was a member of Local 333- United Marine Division and the International Longshoremen’s Association.
He is survived by his siblings, Debora Masso, Amy Mahaffey, Andrew Lash, Bill Lash, Brian Lash and Don Lash.
