A Sayville man was arrested on a DWI charge following a motor vehicle accident on County Road 48 Saturday evening, Southold Police said in a press release.
Police said Richard D. Gordon, 68, was charged with driving while intoxicated after the crash, which sent him and three other people to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The accident took place just after 5 p.m. on CR 48 and Peconic Lane, according to the release.
Southold and Cutchogue Fire departments responded to treat and transport the accident victims, police said.
Gordon was processed and held for arraignment, police said.
