The Blue Duck Bakery Cafe’s second annual Martin Luther King Jr. Honor the Dream food drive is now underway.
Bakery Café locations in Southampton, Riverhead, Southold, and Greenport are honoring Martin Luther King Jr. with their annual food drive. All four bakery cafe locations are accepting donations from Sunday, January 17, 2016 through Saturday, February 6, 2016.
Nancy Kouris, owner of the Blue Duck Bakeries says, “After the holidays our local food pantries are running dangerously low on supplies and food for those in need.” Kouris continues by saying, “In accordance with Martin Luther King Jr’s legacy to be a good neighbor, this is an opportunity for our customers and community members from all our locations to take a moment to give back.”
Kouris is asking for contributions of non-perishable food items as well as toiletries. Donations can be dropped off during business hours at any of the Blue Duck Bakery Café locations.
