East End Arts’ have six shows scheduled for the gallery’s 2016 season, each imbued by a theme of “The Creative Process.” This year’s shows feature a range of submissions from two dimensional works to paintings, pastels, and drawings, to all media including sculpture. There are both juried and non-juried shows.
The first show of the year, titled Out Of Your Mind, is the annual Members’ Show. Submissions include all media. The non-juried show runs from January 29 through March 4. An artists’ reception is planned for January 29 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Between March 11 and April 22, East End Arts will have an all media juried show titled Color exhibited in the gallery. The artists’ reception is scheduled for March 11 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The next show scheduled for the gallery is called Art Of The Non-Dominant Hand. The show will run from April 28 to June 10. This is a juried show featuring paintings, pastels and drawings. The artists’ reception is April 28 from 5 to 7 p.m.
An early summer juried show called The Contemporary Portrait will hang in the gallery between June 17 and July 29. It will feature works in all media with an artists’ reception June 17 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The next show scheduled for the gallery will take place between August 5 and September 21. It is the fifth annual national competition and exhibit: The Gallerist, The Artist, The Critic, and The Kid. This is a juried show showcasing two dimensional art of any subject. The artists’ reception is August 5 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The final show of the year is the Winners’ Show. It will feature winning works of art from the 2016 season. It is scheduled to run between September 30 and October 29 with the artists’ reception on opening night between 5 and 7 p.m.
The East End Arts Gallery ends its year with it annual Holiday Gift Boutique. The show features hand made items and unique works of art for sale. The Gift Boutique will be open beginning November 12 and will run through December 23. The grand opening of the show will be November 12 between 12 and 6 p.m.
