Southold Supervisor Scott Russell to give State of the Town speech Feb. 25

Supervisor Scott Russell will give his seventh annual State of the Town address next Thursday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. in the meeting room at Southold Town Hall.

The entire community is invited to attend, the supervisor’s office said in a press release announcing the speech.

The purpose of the address is to inform the public of the town’s accomplishments in 2015 as well as to identify and define goals for 2016 and the future.

There will be a discussion of town finances, legislative updates, environmental and planning initiatives as well as an evaluation of town facilities and assets.

Written reports of town departments will also be available for distribution, the supervisor’s office said.
