Rep. Lee Zeldin set to host mobile office hours in Southold tomorrow

Congressman Lee Zeldin is inviting the public to stop in at the Peconic Lane Community Center tomorrow to meet with him or a member of his staff during a mobile office hours session set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Constituents will have the opportunity to can sit down with Zeldin or a member of his staff member for a one-on-one conversation about issues or concerns important to them, the congressman’s office said in a press release issued today.

Walk-ins are welcome and no appointment is necessary.

All attendees who arrive by 11 a.m. will be guaranteed a meeting with the congressman Zeldin or a staff member, according to the press release.

The Peconic Lance Community Center is located at 1170 Peconic Lane in Peconic.

Zeldin (R-Shirley) was elected to the House of Representatives in 2014, defeating incumbent Tim Bishop (D-Southampton) in a hotly contested race. He sits on the House foreign affairs, transportation, and veterans’ affairs committees.

The congressman opened an East End office at in Riverhead last month at 30 W. Main St. It is open every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with other hours available by appointment. (Tel. 631-209-4235)

New York’s First Congressional District encompasses all of eastern Suffolk County, from Smithtown and Patchogue on the west to Orient and Montauk on the east.
