It’s St. Paddy’s Day and that means it’s time for good fun, great food and a spectacular view with the East End Lions Club at Sound View Restaurant in Greenport.

The club hosts its annual two-day St. Patrick’s Day celebration with lunch and dinner at the Sound-front restaurant, which reopened for the season yesterday with the traditional Lions Club event.

The event continues all day today from 12 noon to 8 p.m. Sound View is serving up plates heaped with corned beef and cabbage, carrots, and potatoes — or bay scallops, rice and green beans. Soda bread, dinner rolls, coffee and ice cream desserts are included for the $20 ticket.  Sound View’s chefs cooked up 900 pounds of corned beef for the event.

There’s a 50-50 and a raffle for a wheelbarrow cheer. Tickets are three for $5.
