Don’t miss Jamesport’s St. Patrick’s Day parade, starting Saturday at 2 p.m.

The East End Emerald Society’s third annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will kick off tomorrow at 2 p.m.

The parade will take place on Main Road between Washington Avenue and Manor Lane. Former Jamesport Fire Department chief Sean McCabe will lead the parade as grand marshal.

Though rain and snow may be in the forecast for Sunday, skies will remain clear and sunny Saturday, with temperatures hovering around a crisp 42 degrees.

Wintry, snowy weather during last year’s parade didn’t stop several hundred people from turning out to cheer on local fire departments, bag pipers and parade marchers decked out in Irish green (see story and photos).
