PBMC appoints new chief of radiology

2016_03250-Mannino_ThomasThomas F. Mannino, MD has been appointed chief of radiology and associate chief medical officer at Peconic Bay Medical Center.

Mannino, board-certified in radiology and nuclear medicine, has been employed as a radiologist at Northwell Health Physician Partners since 1996.

He previously held the position as chairman of radiology and associate chief medical officer at Northwell Health Glen Cove Hospital. Mannino was employed at North-Shore Imaging at Glen Cove as the medical director of the outpatient imaging center from 2006 to 2014. He was then promoted to associate chairman of radiology at Glen Cove Hospital and thereafter as chairman of radiology at Forest Hills Hospital in 2014.

Mannino also holds the position of an instructor at the Northwell Health Center for Learning and Innovation and is a founding board member of the Cold Spring Harbor Education Foundation.

Mannino received his M.D. from Stony Brook School of Medicine in May 1990. He completed his residency training in radiology at Stony Brook University Hospital in June 1995, followed by his fellowship in nuclear medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital in June 1996. More recently, Mannino completed his Master’s in Health Care Delivery Science at the Tuck School of Business and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College in 2015.

Mannino is currently overseeing the Grossman Imaging Center in Manorville and Peconic Bay Medical Center Radiology Department in Riverhead as Chief of Radiology. His appointment was effective in February.

PBMC Health  is anchored by Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead and includes urgent and walk-in care centers, home health services, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, outpatient physical therapy, primary and family care practices with offices in Center Moriches, Hampton Bays, Manorville, Mattituck, Riverhead, Shoreham and Westhampton Beach; and a range of primary care, diagnostic and specialist services at the Gertrude and Louis Feil Campus for Ambulatory Care in Manorville.

In January, PBMC became a member of Northwell Health, New York State’s largest health care provider and private employer. With 21 hospitals and nearly 450 outpatient practices, Northwell Health serves 8 million people in the metro New York and beyond, employing 61,000 people.
