A 24/7 substance abuse hotline is now operational in Suffolk County.
The hotline at (631) 979-1700 will offer callers screening by a certified medical professional, who will refer them to a local care provider.
The hotline is available to those in crisis, contemplating sobriety or to guide family and friends who may have a loved one suffering from addiction.
It was launched today by the Suffolk County Department of Health Services is in partnership with the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence to help address the continuing opioid epidemic in Suffolk.
