Letter: Varmints of the skies

The issue with the airlines or helicopter noise dates back to before the inception of the FAA in 1958. The FAA’s mission was created during the first half of the last century and is outdated in today’s America. It no longer should be a mission to encourage the growth of the airline industry but rather public safety and environmental concerns. Today’s airline does not need government support or encouragement. Yes, all America must rise up and get Congress to change the FAA mission. Only then will the public have a say in today’s airline industry.
