PBMC Parent Lecture Series topics: Late Talkers, Picky Eaters, Motor Development, Sensory Strategies

PBMC will be offering a lecture series for parents on Monday nights between May 9 and June 6. All lectures will take place from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.  in the conference room on PBMC’s second floor.

Each week the series will cover a separate issue of concern to parents.

The topic on Monday, May 9 is titled “Late Talkers vs. Speech and Language Delays.” The speaker will be Caitlyn Saxtein, a speech pathologist.

The  subject matter for the May 16 lecture centers on dinner time troubles in a presentation titled “Picky Eater vs. Eating Problems.”  The presenter will be Jamie Rosso and speech pathologist.

On May 23 the topic is  “Motor Development and Your Child’s ‘Special Needs.'”  David Tsoumpelis an occupational therapist is the scheduled speaker.

The subject of the last lecture is “Sensory Strategies for Parents of ‘Difficult Children.'” David Tsoumpelis, an occupational therapist will speak on that issue.
