Mattituck edged past Center Moriches 11-10 in the Class C semifinal today.
Mattituck (11-2) took a 10-6 lead into the fourth quarter, but Center Moriches mounted a comeback and came within one with 22 seconds left. With a few clicks on the clock, Mattituck secured a loose ball and held on for the win.
Max Kruszeski and Jeff Hauser scored three goals apiece. Rob Kruszeski had 14 saves. No. 2 seed Mattituck faces No. 1 Babylon in the Class C final on June 1 at Stony Brook University.
