Where to watch Fourth of July fireworks on the North Fork this year

Fourth of July weekend is coming up, and that means there will be plenty of fireworks shows lighting up the skies on the North Fork! Here are all the Fourth of July fireworks being planned for the next two weeks.


Greenport Fire Department Carnival, July 2 & July 4
Where: Polo Grounds on Moores Lane, Greenport
Fireworks: Saturday, July 2 at 10 p.m. (Rain date July 3) | Monday, July 4 (No rain date)
Carnival with rides, games and food Thursday through Monday starting at 6 p.m.

Riverhead Raceway, July 2
Where: Riverhead Raceway, Route 58, Riverhead
Fireworks: Saturday, July 2 at 9 p.m.
The first Fourth of July celebration under new owners Eddie and Connie Partridge will include a 66-lap NASCAR Modified feature event and a demolition derby. Fireworks by Bay Fireworks will be accompanied by musical soundtrack.

Orient Independence Day Celebration, July 2
Where: Orient Yacht Club, Orient
Fireworks: Saturday, July 2 at 9:15 p.m.
Gucci fireworks scheduled at the Orient Yacht Club.

Riverhead BID Independence Day Celebration, July 3
Where: Peconic riverfront downtown parking lot, Riverhead
Fireworks: Sunday, July 3 at nightfall.
Event begins at 6 p.m. with performances by PickPockets and Brady Rymer. There will also be food, jugglers, face painters and stilt walkers.

Mattituck Environmental Fireworks Display, July 4
Where: Skunk Lane, Cutchogue
Fireworks: Monday, July 4 (Rain date July 5)

Shelter Island Fireworks Display, July 9
Where: Crescent Beach, Shelter Island
Fireworks: Saturday, July 9
Gucci fireworks scheduled Saturday with a post-fireworks celebration to be held at the Tavern from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m., featuring live music. Kick-off celebration Friday at the Shipwreck from 6 to 11 p.m.

Jamesport Fire Department Carnival, July 16
Where: Jamesport Community Center, South Jamesport Avenue, Jamesport
Fireworks: Saturday, July 16
Carnival from July 13 through 16, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and from 5 p.m. to midnight Saturday. Includes rides for all ages, food, beer, Las Vegas tables and a dunking booth. Parade Wednesday July 13 at 7 p.m.
