One man is being taken to the hospital after a single-car crash on Youngs Avenue this morning.
Around 11:30 a.m., a man was traveling northbound on Youngs in a Ford Explorer when he struck a Jeep Cherokee parked on the eastern side of the street, police said.
Southold Fire Department responded to the scene with a fire truck and an ambulance. The driver, who was the only person in his vehicle, is being taken to Eastern Long Island Hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening, according to police.
The accident is currently under investigation, though police say they believe a medical condition may have been the cause.
Youngs Avenue was temporarily closed from Chick’s Agway to Sound Avenue. The road has since been reopened.
