A new 5K race will be run in Southold for the first time this weekend.

Duck Walk Vineyards is hosting the Mighty North Fork Vineyard 5K on July 10.

The run will be on vineyard grounds, with participants weaving around and through the grape vines. There will also be an optional one mile “fun run” for those who do not wish to compete in the 5K.

Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top man and woman in each age group. Every finisher will get a medal. Live music, an awards ceremony and raffle prizes will follow.

Participants must arrive before 8:30 a.m. to pick up their race packets. The 5K will begin at 9 a.m., the one mile run at 9:15 a.m. The awards ceremony and raffle will be at 10 a.m.

Tickets are $35 ($40 on race day), and include a complimentary wine tasting or glass of wine at the event. The vineyard encourages everyone to drink safely and have a designated driver if they plan on consuming alcohol.

For more information or to buy tickets, visit the races’ EventPower page.
