Dr. Susan Lee appointed Associate Director of Breast Health Program at Winthrop-University Hospital

Susan Lee of Southold has been appointed Associate Director of the Breast Health Program at Winthrop-University Hospital. As Associate Director, Dr. Lee will lead and work together with a multidisciplinary team of specialists to provide patients with the highest level of care, employing minimally invasive techniques and state-of-the-art treatments.

Dr. Lee graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Illinois Champaign/Urbana, and received her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Dr. Lee trained for two years in general surgery and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Mayo Clinic. She then completed a fellowship in breast disease/surgery at Brown University School of Medicine. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Lee is currently the New York State Chair of the Commission on Cancer. She is a Governor of the American College of Surgeons and has also served as President of the Brooklyn/Long Island Chapter of the ACS.

Dr. Lee is widely published and has spoken vastly on the subject of breast cancer.
