Southold Town Democrats host ‘Sustainable Southold’ breakfast, July 16

The Southold Town Democratic Club will host a breakfast featuring Lynn Arthur, a leader in energy reform on the South Fork, on July 16 from 9 to 11 a.m. at CJ’s American Grill in Mattituck.

Arthur, chair of the Southampton Town Energy Sustainability sub-committee and executive director of PeakPower LI, will highlight the projected energy growth on the South Fork, its implications on our wallets and discuss the programs Southampton Town is executing to curtail energy consumption, save homeowners on their electric bills and protect the environment.

The breakfast meeting will explore ways that several of these programs could be replicated here on the North Fork to help Southold become a truly sustainable town.

This breakfast is part of a series of monthly events planned by the Southold Town Democratic Club, aimed at bringing local Democrats together to discuss important issues, as well as to educate the public at large, regardless of party affiliation.

Tickets for the event are $20 and include a full breakfast buffet including Mimosas.
