The Tuckers upset first-place Babylon 2-0 yesterday in Mattituck.
The first half of the game was basically an even match, with both teams having a few scoring opportunities that neither capitalized on.
The second half began with Mattituck coming out of the gate like wild horses, as they pressed the Babylon defense, and peppered shots on net.
Off the Mattituck corner kick, Pandelli Pando found the loose ball, and buried a shot into the Babylon net to make it 1-0. After a few more chances for Mattituck, Carlos Campos, was struck with an errant kick, and was taken away by ambulance after a stoppage of play.
With about four minutes to play, Chris Waggoner grabbed the rebound off a shot, and beat Babylon goalkeeper Ian Howard to make it 2-0 and seal the win for Mattituck.
The Tuckers are now 8-5 overall, 7-3 and in third place in League VII.
