Southold-Greenport Drama Clubs will present Almost, Maine this weekend at Southold High School.
Almost, Maine tells the story of a small town so far north it “almost” feels like it’s a part of Canada.
“One cold, clear Friday night in the middle of winter, while the northern lights hover in the sky above, Almost’s residents find themselves falling in and out of love in the strangest ways,” the play’s website reads. “Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. Love is lost, found, and confounded. And life for the people of Almost, Maine will never be the same.”
The show’s opening night is Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. It will return the following night, Oct. 29, at the same time, concluding with a matinee on Oct. 30 at 2 p.m.
Tickets ($10 for adults, $6 for students and seniors) will be available at the door.
The show was directed by Jessica Ellwood and Casey Rooney. Poster designed by student Nestor Menjivar.
