Trick-or-treaters should bundle up this afternoon and evening. The weather forecast is calling for chilly, windy weather this Halloween and plunging temperatures expected overnight have prompted the National Weather Service to issue a frost advisory for our region. The frost advisory is in effect from midnight tonight to 9 a.m. tomorrow.
It’s our first frost advisory of the season, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Upton said this morning.
Temperatures today will peak in the upper 50s under mostly sunny skies, with strong north winds of 15 to 20 mph, gusting to 30 mph, according to the NWS local forecast.
Temperatures will fall into the mid-30s tonight in most places, but in the pine barrens they will drop into the mid-20s to low 30s, the weather service said.
