A sidewalk and road reconstruction project gets underway in the Village of Greenport today.
Work will begin on curbs, sidewalks and aprons on portions of Carpenter Street and Monsell Place. This work is expected to be completed by Nov. 4, weather permitting, Village Clerk Sylvia Pirillo said. The road resurfacing project on Carpenter Street is expected to begin shortly thereafter, she said.
The village board this month approved funding of $315,000 to complete the work.
