Rotary Club members from across eastern Suffolk packed 12,200 meals Saturday at Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch in Riverhead to be distributed to local food pantries on the East End.

Riverhead was one of six locations across Long Island that participated in the event, which had more than 350 Rotarians participate.

Members of the Southold, Greenport, Riverhead, Rocky Point and Seatuck Cove Rotary clubs, as well as members of the Riverhead and Southold Interact clubs, the Riverhead High School Council for Unity, student council and NJROTC turned out to package the food into bags that feed a family of four to six people.
