Greenport’s 5th Annual Shellabration: pairing local shellfish, wines and brews for fun and fundraising to support marine life

Greenport’s Fifth Annual Shellabration takes place this weekend, offering a two-day restaurant walk featuring local shellfish and local wines and the chance to support the local marine environment.

Shellabration wristbands — available in advance and at the event for $25 — entitle visitors to $5 small plates featuring local shellfish paired with $3 pours of local wine or beer at 17 participating eateries throughout the village. The wristband also entitles the wearer to the first tasting of the day: a free glass of Greenport Harbor Ale and a raw bar tasting of clams and oysters at the Greenport Harbor Brewing Company, located at 234 Carpenter Street, where tour maps are distributed.

Shellabration takes place from 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3 and Sunday, Dec. 4.
