Congratulations Kayleigh and Tahir Baig of Riverhead on the birth of their daughter Dec. 6!
Kayleigh and Tahir welcomed their first child, Laila Reè, who entered the world Dec. 6 at 3:46 p.m. at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. She made her parents wait an extra two weeks after her expected date before finally arriving at a healthy 8 lbs. 4 oz. and 20-1/2 inches long.
Laila is the first grandchild for Leonard and Madeline Van Vliet and the third bundle of joy for Rauf and Nosheen Baig who already have a grandson and another granddaughter.
Kayleigh is enjoying maternity leave while she is on hiatus from writing “In the Kitchen” with Kayleigh each week for RiverheadLocal.com.
