Cops: Two North Fork men face charges in armed robberies in Riverhead, Calverton

A Southold resident and a man staying with relatives in Mattituck have been charged by Riverhead Police detectives in two recent armed robberies.

Maximillian H. Bonilla, 18, who police said was undomiciled but staying with family members in Mattituck, is charged in the armed robbery of a Calverton gas station on Jan. 1 and the armed robbery of the Riverhead GameStop store on Dec. 28. Bonilla faces three counts of second-degree robbery.

Joseph G. Worysz, 19, of Southold, was charged in the gas station hold-up. Worysz faces two counts of second-degree robbery.

Both men were arrested yesterday, according to Riverhead Town Police. They were arraigned this morning in Riverhead Justice Court. Bonilla was held on $40,000 cash bail/$80,000 bond on each of the incidents. Worysz was held on $10,000 cash bail/$20,000 bond. Both are due back in court Friday, according to court records.
